Connect ZWA-2 is a USB adapter that adds Z-Wave support to Home Assistant Green. This antenna dongle plugs into your hub and provides wireless connectivity for Z-Wave devices.

Z-Wave is the standard for smart locks and security sensors. Yale, Schlage, and Kwikset use Z-Wave for their deadbolts. If you want local control of door locks, you need this adapter.

Why Z-Wave:

Z-Wave runs on 908 MHz in North America. This frequency penetrates walls better than 2.4 GHz (which Zigbee, Thread, and WiFi use). The antenna provides stronger signal through typical building materials. Fewer interference problems.

Z-Wave devices create a mesh network. Each powered device extends the signal. The more devices you add, the stronger the network gets.
