Thank you for choosing North Control. We're committed to getting your order to you as efficiently as possible. This Shipping Policy outlines what you can expect throughout the shipping process, from the moment you complete your purchase to when your package arrives at your door.

Order Processing

Once you complete your purchase and your payment is confirmed, our team begins working on your order. We process orders during regular business hours and work diligently to prepare your items for shipment. The time it takes to process your order can vary depending on product availability, order volume, and other operational factors.

You'll receive an email confirmation as soon as your package leaves our facility and is transferred to our shipping carrier. This confirmation will include your tracking number, the name of the carrier handling your delivery, and information about how to track your package. We recommend saving this email for your records so you can easily monitor your shipment's progress.

Tracking Your Shipment

Your tracking number is the key to knowing where your package is at any given time. Once you receive your shipping confirmation email, you can use the tracking number to check your shipment's status directly with the carrier. Most carriers provide online tracking systems where you can see real-time updates about your package's location and estimated delivery date.

The tracking information will show you when your package is picked up from our facility, when it's in transit, when it arrives at various carrier facilities along the route, when it's out for delivery in your area, and when it's been successfully delivered to your address. We encourage you to check your tracking information periodically, especially as your estimated delivery date approaches.

Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery times vary based on several important factors. Your shipping address location, the shipping method you selected at checkout, the carrier's current service levels, and external circumstances all play a role in determining when your package will arrive.

When you select a shipping method during checkout, you'll see estimated delivery timeframes. Please understand that these are estimates provided by the shipping carriers and are not guaranteed delivery dates. While carriers work hard to meet these estimates, actual delivery times can be affected by numerous factors outside of our control and outside of the carrier's control.

Weather conditions, natural disasters, carrier capacity constraints, high shipping volumes during peak seasons, customs processing for international shipments, incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses, and other unforeseen circumstances can all impact delivery times. We appreciate your understanding that these estimates represent the carrier's best prediction based on normal conditions.

When Delays or Issues Occur

We understand that receiving your order in a timely manner is important to you. While we and our carrier partners strive to meet estimated delivery windows, sometimes circumstances arise that cause delays or other issues with shipments.

If we become aware of any issue that affects your specific order—whether it's a processing delay on our end before the package ships, a carrier delay once the package is in transit, a problem with the shipping address, a lost or damaged package, or any other circumstance that impacts your expected delivery—we will reach out to you proactively with an update.

You won't be left wondering where your package is or when it might arrive. We'll provide you with the information we have available, explain what's happening, and give you our best assessment of when you can expect delivery. As the situation develops and we receive additional information, we'll continue to keep you informed.

If you notice that your tracking information hasn't updated in several days, if the estimated delivery date has passed without delivery, or if you have any concerns about your shipment, please don't wait—contact us right away. We'll investigate the situation with the carrier and work to resolve any issues.

International Shipments

For customers ordering from outside our country, please be aware that international shipments involve additional steps and potential delays beyond domestic shipping.

Your package may be subject to customs inspection and processing in your destination country. Customs processing times vary significantly by country and are completely outside of our control. Some countries process packages within a few days, while others may take weeks. Your package may be held at customs while officials verify the contents, assess duties and taxes, or conduct random inspections.

You may be responsible for paying customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by your country's government. These fees are determined by your local customs authorities based on the value of your order, the type of products, and your country's specific import regulations. We have no control over these fees and cannot predict what they will be. The shipping carrier or customs broker will typically contact you to arrange payment before releasing your package for final delivery.

Please also note that international shipping times are estimates only and can be significantly impacted by customs processing, international carrier capacity, and other factors beyond anyone's control.

Carrier Responsibility and Liability

Once we process your order and transfer your package to our shipping carrier for delivery, the carrier assumes responsibility for transporting your package to your address. At the point of transfer to the carrier, title and risk of loss pass to you as outlined in our Terms of Service.

We partner with reputable carriers who maintain high standards for package handling and delivery. However, we are not liable for shipping and delivery delays caused by the carrier, customs processing, or events outside our control. If issues arise during shipping, we will work with you and the carrier to investigate and resolve the situation, but our liability is limited as specified in our Terms of Service.

Shipping Address Accuracy

Please ensure that you provide a complete and accurate shipping address when placing your order. This includes your full name, street address with apartment or unit number if applicable, city, state or province, postal or ZIP code, and country.

Incorrect or incomplete addresses can result in delivery delays, packages being returned to us, or packages being lost. If your package is returned to us due to an incorrect address you provided, we will contact you to arrange re-shipment. Additional shipping charges may apply for re-sending the package.

If you realize after placing your order that you made an error in your shipping address, contact us immediately at hello@northcontrol.ca. If your order hasn't shipped yet, we may be able to correct the address. Once the package has been transferred to the carrier, we may not be able to modify the shipping address.

Delivery Attempts and Unclaimed Packages

Carriers typically make multiple delivery attempts if no one is available to receive the package at your address. The carrier may leave a delivery notice with instructions for scheduling a re-delivery or picking up your package at a local carrier facility.

If a package cannot be delivered after multiple attempts and is not claimed within the carrier's holding period, it will be returned to us. If this happens, we'll contact you to discuss options, which may include re-shipping the package (additional shipping charges may apply) or processing a return and refund according to our Return and Refund Policy.

Package Inspection Upon Delivery

We strongly encourage you to inspect your package upon delivery. If the package appears damaged, you may refuse delivery or note the damage on the delivery receipt. Contact us immediately at hello@northcontrol.ca if you receive a damaged package.

If you discover damage after accepting the delivery, contact us as soon as possible. Document the damage with photographs if possible, and save all packaging materials. We'll work with you and the carrier to file a claim if necessary and ensure you receive replacement items or a refund.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your shipping address, the weight and dimensions of your order, and the shipping method you select. All applicable shipping charges will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase, and the final total including shipping costs will be shown in your order confirmation email.

Posted prices for products do not include shipping charges unless explicitly stated otherwise. Shipping costs are separate from product costs and any applicable taxes.
